Variety Care Expands Access Through Hiring of Two New Medical Providers

(April 4, 2020 - Oklahoma City, OK) Variety Care has welcomed two new medical providers to their family medicine and pediatric teams. Both providers are accepting new patients now at Variety Care’s Straka Terrace and Lafayette locations.

Julia L. Walter, NP, received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Oklahoma in 2005. She continued her education and received her master’s in nursing with a specialization in pediatrics. Walter has practiced for over 11 years, beginning her career on a research study focusing on children with Type 2 diabetes at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medicine.

“My passion for medicine began when I was a little girl,” Walter said. “My mother worked as a nurse at my elementary school. Seeing her provide care to my peers sparked my interest in health care.”

Walter is accepting pediatric patients at Variety Care Lafayette, 500 S.W. 44th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73109.

Evodio Estrada, PA, attended the University of Oklahoma where he received a bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary studies in 2013. He furthered his studies and received a Master of Health Science from the Physician Associate Program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Estrada is ready to serve the community by helping his patients lead full, healthy lives.

“Being a family medicine provider allows me to help individuals of all ages from various backgrounds,” Estrada said. “As a Mexican-American in a predominantly Spanish speaking home, I saw first-hand the language barrier that many people face when seeking medical attention. My passion for helping those in my community led me towards a path in medicine.”

Estrada is accepting family medicine patients at Variety Care Straka Terrace, 1025 Straka Terrace, Oklahoma City, OK 73139.
