Phil Burke, PA-C, RHIA is the Director of HIV and Viral Hepatitis Services. He started his career on the administrative side of the healthcare system at multiple hospitals and healthcare groups across the OKC metro area. During that time period, he realized his love of interacting with people, helping them feel better, and helping them take ownership of their health. He pursued a new avenue and became a certified physician assistant that could provide direct care to patients. He is a member of the over five different organizations, including the American Health Information Management Association, LBGT Physician Assistant Caucus, and Gay and Lesbian Medical Association. In addition to providing quality care for his patients, Phil is dedicated to developing an excellent program with Variety Care to increase HIV testing, treatment, and prevention. This program is aimed to end the HIV epidemic in Oklahoma while serving with empathy and support to all, especially the LGBTQIA+ community. As a member of the Variety Care provider team, he enjoys changing lives through his practice of medicine, but also in his role as an educator and leader. During his free time, Phil enjoys spending time with his husband, friends, and family.
